Victor Mugabe Wanyama Set to Join Celtic

Victor Mugabe Wanyama is set to follow the footsteps of his elder brother, Mcdonald Mariga, into lucrative professional football by joining Celtic, the Scottish football club. Sources have tolde FOOTBALL.co.ke that Victor Mugabe has turned down advances from Celtic`s archrivals in the Scottish League, Rangers and Aston Villa and Newcastle of the English Premier League among others.

If the move is succesful Mugabe will leave his current club, Belgian side Germinal Beerschot, with which he is contracted until May 2012 for a yet undisclosed fee.

Mugabe has been quoted as saying, “I am extremely excited. Celtic is a legendary club and I am looking forward to this. I have had a great time with GBA (Germinal Beerschot Antwerp) and I look forward to the next chapter of my career at Celtic.”
